Because of my expertise in OSINT and Social Engineering, I used to help the law in tracking down internet predators.
I live in a city that had a large gay scene, where we have a naked bike ride festival it’s very open and bohemian here. Not like up North, I had to Google the derogatory term for a “Snowflake” yesterday. Some person was screaming it at me in a chat and I had no idea what he was trying to slander me as. We don’t get homophobia down here. But we do get paedophiles, both on the street and in law enforcement, I’m sure a lot of forces have that problem but it’s more prominent down here.
I was managing a Police Brutality Site a couple of years ago. When my anger for Police was unmanageable… Opening up online, I’ve calmed down a lot. People often say there are bad police, but you also find bad people in companies. A bad colleague isn’t gonna handcuff you, strip you, humiliate you on CCTV for 23hrs? It’s a little different.
This site started to get very slow, I’m not a WordPress geek, as you have to know everybody’s plugin when you use things like CodeIgniter Laravel or Yii. You just have to be aware of your code, not the code of 24 other people. People think when you are an IT guru you know EVERYTHING. .. Anyone that thinks that is an egotistical numbskull IMHO. IT isn’t like LAW set in Stone. It’s a forever changing discipline.
You always see that government agency that had that security breach aka SolarWinds, probably some governments think they know it all..
Some IT folk are diehard Microsoft Tech net fanatics and cannot believe it if Microsoft doesn’t print it.
Others are creators and will go above and beyond to create new technologies. Like Facebook and Google, I bet some of the things they accomplished Microsoft had not thought of yet.
Some are very close-minded, in 2020 the whole world was laughing at a small group of people that thought a BIOLOGICAL Virus could be transmitted digitally to another location and still be alive. Anything transported by energy is subjected to a lot of heat and that tends to destroy anything that’s living.
Covid cannot be spread through 5G communication towers, just cause a chip inside the electronics device had the name “COVID” That’s like saying everyone called Jimmy could be a paedophile. It’s unrealistic. Britain is a heavily scammed country as Twitter is an international forum. People’s idealism can easily be marketed.
I contacted a UK Misconduct site that had the experience to see if they wanted to take over the platform. During the transfer, he informed me that the site was overloaded with images that were being replicated.
Though I didn’t know that the site had malware. I use two servers Development and Prod
Development has not any security as coding with security full-on can be a pain. The last thing you need is for the security software to think your new code or function is a threat and delete 3 days of code.
I found out the site had malware when I set up a staging server, so applications had three stages to go through. The staging had all the security of Production but still, the developer tools loaded. So more of a halfway checkpoint.
I’m helping out with the police misconduct as I said in previous posts.. I’ve been there, I’ve been arrested I had the same ordeal as Aaron Swartz, simply due to the LAW not understanding or exaggerating things to make them seem worse than they are. A bit like how fake news works, people, liking without reading. I was angry at pedo police officers in my city at the time of the emails. But I didn’t intend to cause them an issue, I get over 100,000 cyber intrusions per day and perhaps about 10,000 emails, Sussex Police were ignoring me and I had Aspergers I didn’t understand I was young at the time. So I sent 3,000 emails asking for them to contact me. N Oh Boy Did they, just not in the quiet As I explained, it was meant to send 1 email per day until they responded but an easy mistake, I always CHECK your code before running any program that sends emails!!!!! Most of that article was removed as the cyber attack I reported with the insurance company was real. In 2013 the police didn’t understand cyber security. Some officers may attempt to manipulate digital evidence… but not with me. pfft.
Looking at their most recent attempt….they still don’t below
The Police Misconduct site was getting hacked by Police Hackers… Yes, that exists a group or groups of ex-police IT folk with some Uber advanced malicious hacking skills. I’m in my major is information security so I’m not going to slander a person that by the looks of some articles has already been trolled. I can understand why that police misconduct owner got so paranoid. The police can do that to you. They are very sneaky, hence criminals get very paranoid. But so do regular people.
